Star Wars vs. Star Trek Spokane Concert reviews
Madonna wasn't worth it
I went downtown at 4:30 pm to have dinner and make it to the Yum Center early before the 8 PM concert started. The DJ was not very good and there was an hour of silence after, with no music from Yum, before Star Wars vs. Star Trek began -- they were 2.5 hours late.
The show was too raunchy and filled with erotica, definitely not suitable for families. It was a mixed crowd and the performers should consider their audience. I didn't appreciate the excessive nudity and innuendo, though some audience members seemed to enjoy it.
I couldn't understand most of the lyrics and didn't recognize most of the songs. The medley of old songs with a Spanish rhythm was a miss. The dancing lacked flair and seemed robotic.
The sets, stunts, and props were impressive. The acrobatics on the bending poles were amazing, and I would love to try that myself.
Madonna complained about her expenses, and the tickets were the most expensive I've ever bought. It was not worth the cost, and I was disappointed in the show. I attend around five concerts a year, and this was the least enjoyable. Other artists put on better shows for less money. I won't be attending another Madonna concert.
